Every Thursday from now on we will be having drawing classes with Bjørn. I've added all of the drawings I drew today. You can find them in my finished work - drawings area. Tell me what you think.
This week we were given an assignment to film ourselves, draw extreme poses in thumbnails, and then animate it in 3ds max. What you see below is the thumbnails I drew. Here the "stickman" takes a step closer to the "box" and goes down while reaching out for it. He then takes a good grip on the box and stands up again slightly bent backwards because of the weight. The number in the left upper corner of every thumbnail is the frame number that pose were in. I put on some color to make it easier for me to see which leg was where and arm. That was after I wrote L/R when I animated the lift. I only have eight key poses in this animation. I should have drawn more key poses to make the animation easier and better, but I find that unnecessary for now. We also have breakdowns which are placed between two key poses (extremes). I didn't find the time to start on Ed's pocketwatch yesterday. I had a lot stuff to do. And sadly I don't have time to start on it today. Perhaps tomorrow?
This year our school wants us to draw something we see every week. Here is the very first one. I spent about 8mins. drawing what was suppose to be shutter shades lying on my desk. Placed upside down. I was surprised to see how messy my way of drawing is. I will spend more time on the next one and keep it clean and neat. Feel free to comment.
It's time for me to start working with 3d again. I haven't done that much the past two months. As my first since school began I am planning to make a 3d still of Edward Elric's pocketwatch from Fullmetal Alchemist. I want to draw his watch to plan on how I'm going to create it in 3d. That's just how I work recently. Even if it's just a simple object.
I really want to make this because I can't seem to find any 3d stills of his watch anywhere. So I decided to make it myself. Wouldn't that be awesome? I will start on this today (8.sept.) and see how far I can get. Maybe I'll be finished with this in one day. It depends on how effective I work. In this blog I will tell you all about my projects. I will post drawings, WIP's, finished work, ideas, etc. Drop by the guestbook to say hi or comment on this post.
