I should take some time to fix the ground and curtains and add some more life to the scene. Some more rubbish and dirt would be nice. Grass on the edge of houses. Water perhaps. Oh well. Until next milennia!
Hello fans! I was recently asked to create some new renders of my Teesside project and so I did. Nothing too fancy. I just configured the bounce and quality by a bit and by removing some assets for a simple render. I was always thinking about revisit the Teesside projects, but never found the need to until now. Indeed the personal project was too dark and too unfocused it gave the scene a bit of a sour taste. While I was planning the project I wanted it to be as if a person was in the scene looking around and it turned out I was doing it to hastily trying to show every corner in such a short periode of time. I should have simply made stills of the scene instead of making it a walkthrough.

Hey people! huehue!!11one So I start doing 3d again. It all started in December when I got the opportunity from a friend. At first I hesitated. I felt like I wanted to do something else. Don't get me wrong I am still feeling that way. I am just back doing 3d rather then think about it from time to time. So January was when I officially started that project from a friend. It has been going slow. It contains animation and I dislike doing animation. I'm fine with subtle animation, but not when it plays a big part. So yeah it's been going slow. I feel bad for this and I hope by the start of next week I'll be finished with it. Now these days I have been really driven into creating items in 3ds max. I have a couple of on-going mini projects. You may have noticed the bean/soda cans, the Marlboro box, AR-goggles and the most recent Soap. If not, you can find them all in the gallery. I'll post them under here for good measure. I'll try and keep this flow going. As for now I need to focus on the project and finish it!
So Rocket just posted on his twitter that they are looking for 2d/3d artist to create small items and food for DayZ. I gave it a try and made the famous "Heinz Beans" which can be found in the current DayZ. Would be awesome to see items I've created in a game. Application sent and now we wait. I also made soda cans. I got the feel again to create. So which one do you prefer? I say why not both :PPPPPPPPPPP
Found all my old project files. I thought I had lost them in the abyss. Perhaps they should have stayed there. Anyways I opened them up in 3ds max to see how they were constructed. No surprise, I was a complete idiot. How do you like the wire on that thing? This project was created in 2009 mid summer (after completing the first year of studying 3d). This was and it still is my most popular on deviantart. This project contains a poly count of 17,082 pr. gun. What the actual fuck? I remember that I spent around 5-6 hours on this. Modelling > Texturing > Lighting > Render > Compositing. A great idea would be to recreate this gun from scratch to test and freshen up my skills. Just to see what this noob can do. SEEEEEEEEEEE YOOOOUU! Practical Project report is now uploaded for everyone to read and laugh at. Keep in mind that this is to educate the ones with no knowledge within 3d. Also keep in mind that the idiot who wrote the report is me. Huehuehue.
HEREEEEEEE!!!!! A few words of the final product. I feel like I messed up my project by making it into an animation based rather than a series of still images. It's pretty dark and empty. I might render some images to properly display the scene. I made another promise. Huehueheuheuheue. Happy new year! I'm glad we managed to survive 2012. I thought we were going to die so I gave up on 3d, huehue. Jokes aside I am trying to get back into 3d.
So to start it off I have released my AVE report from Teesside here on my weebly. HEREEEEEEEEEEEE! I know Grammar Nazies will enjoy this one so remember to bring popcorn. Now for those who don't know AVE is a class at Teesside. It stands for Advanced Visual Effects. I might release my personal project report, alas the time is no Hi guys! Sorry for not blogging for the past few weeks. I've been very busy with my projects and I've just neglected this blog entirely. I do have a bunch of material to show you guys and there is a lot to blog about. So for the next three weeks expect something to read about. The Breach is my short film for the AVE which is Advanced Visual Effects. We had to combine a cg environment with a live action footage. This is the result of me working non-stop for over three weeks. I will post the process later on when I find the time to do so. Perhaps I will make a breakdown video on how it was created. A Walkthrough is my final year project which I spent more time working on then my AVE project. This is the result of me working sloppy for about three months. Kind of embarrassing to think about. I should have been more active to seek out feedback from others while working on this project. More about this matter will be posted here on this blog.
Cheers! Quick post with a little update. So yeah the ground is still even. I keep making promises that I'll never keep. Once the final objects are in the scene it's off to make the ivy and hedges. So close! Models->Textures->Animation,Light->Render->RENDER->Report->DONE I enjoy listening to these while working. Now you should enjoy them as well.
