This week we were given an assignment to film ourselves, draw extreme poses in thumbnails, and then animate it in 3ds max. What you see below is the thumbnails I drew. Here the "stickman" takes a step closer to the "box" and goes down while reaching out for it. He then takes a good grip on the box and stands up again slightly bent backwards because of the weight. The number in the left upper corner of every thumbnail is the frame number that pose were in. I put on some color to make it easier for me to see which leg was where and arm. That was after I wrote L/R when I animated the lift. I only have eight key poses in this animation. I should have drawn more key poses to make the animation easier and better, but I find that unnecessary for now. We also have breakdowns which are placed between two key poses (extremes).
I didn't find the time to start on Ed's pocketwatch yesterday. I had a lot stuff to do. And sadly I don't have time to start on it today. Perhaps tomorrow?
